Superior Industries International Inc. on Tuesday said it named Kerry Shiba its new chief financial officer.
Shiba, 55, succeeds Emil Fanelli, the Van Nuys aluminum-wheel maker’s longtime corporate controller, who had been serving as interim CFO for the last 12 months.
Shiba, who also will be a senior vice president, most recently was chief financial and restructuring officer, and a unit president, at Remy International Inc., an automotive parts maker in Pendleton, Ind. He previously held senior management positions with Kaiser Aluminum Corp. and BF Goodrich Co.
“Kerry’s experience in the automotive supply and aluminum fabricating industries makes him ideally qualified for his role with Superior,” said Chief Executive Steven J. Borick in a statement.
Shares were up 7 cents, or less than 1 percent, to $18.26 in midday trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
