The celebutante Kardashian sisters continue to leverage their reality show fame with Thursday’s launch of a branded beauty line, starting with a self-tanning gel.

Glamour Tan by Kardashian Beauty will be available exclusively at Sephora retail and online stores. The line is made and distributed by Windmill Health Products of Newark, NJ.

Kim and Kourtney Kardashian and Khloé Kardashian Odom rose to tabloid fame through the E! cable TV reality show “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” which began in 2007 and shot primarily in and around Calabasas.

Following the example of fellow reality show celebutante Paris Hilton, the sisters both as a team and individually have branched into modeling, acting and promotion of diet, fashion, and beauty products they have helped design. Kim Kardashian, the eldest sister, last December became spokesperson for a menu of healthy salads at the Carl’s Jr. fast food chain operated by Carpinteria-based CKE Restaurants Inc.

“My sisters and I are all about getting the perfect tan without harming our skin,” said Kim Kardashian in a statement. “We’re always on the lookout for the best self-tanner so we thought we’d create the perfect formula and share it with everyone.”
