Northrop Grumman Corp. on Monday said it was awarded a follow-on contract, valued at up to $100 million, from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management to electronically convert and store federal employee records.
To date, the Los Angeles company has processed 1 million records at more than 35 federal agencies, making the project one of the largest electronic records initiatives in the federal government. The Enterprise Human Resource Integration program is modernizing how federal employees access and use human resource information through an online electronic system, Northrop said.
“EHRI is transforming the way federal HR specialists, managers and employees access vital personnel information securely and cost effectively,” said Catherine Kuenzel, vice president of Federal Mission Programs for Northrop’s Civil Systems division.
Separately, Northrop announced late Friday that the U.S. Navy selected it to perform development work on a program to streamline and update shipboard networks, part of a $17.4 million contract for the Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services program.
If the Navy exercises all its options, the contract would include production through September 2014 and be worth $775 million.
Northrop shares were down 9 cents, or less than 1 percent, to $64.13 in midday trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
