The transaction included a $50 million capital injection to fund club growth. Bay serves as the club’s controlling owner and NWSL Board of Governors representative, overseeing operations as the franchise moves toward profitability. The team in January opened a new training and performance facility in Thousand Oaks. Since 2017, Bay has also served as dean of the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, managing a staff of 300 and a student body of 3,000.
