Dean Spanos is the owner and chairman of the Los Angeles Chargers, a franchise founded by Barron Hilton in 1959 that reached the AFC championship in January. Under his leadership, the Chargers opened “The Bolt” in 2024, a $250 million training facility and headquarters in El Segundo. In May 2025, NFL owners approved the sale of an 8% stake of the Chargers to the Dallas-based private equity firm Arctoc, with Spanos still retaining control at about 61%.
