Trina Spear co-founded Figs Inc., which supplies health care apparel through mainly e-commerce channels, with business partner Heather Hasson in 2013. Seeing success with its proprietary anti-crease fabric FIONx, the manufacturer went public in May 2021, making it the first company founded by two female entrepreneurs to go public on the New York Stock Exchange. Last year, the company reported a net revenue of $631.1 million, an increase of 13.6% year over year, driven by increasing orders from new and existing customers and higher average order value. Before Figs, Spear was an associate at Blackstone Group Inc., working in hedge funds. She was named Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young for the Los Angeles Region in 2018.
