Selena Gomez – the singer, actress and former Disney Channel child star – is now a successful entrepreneur. Her El Segundo-based beauty line Rare Beauty, founded in 2020, raised her to billionaire status four years into the operation. The “Wizards of Waverly Place” actress has early this year launched Rare Beauty products in Ulta Beauty stores and e-commerce channels across the nation. Rare Beauty also launched nonprofit grants that, according to Inc. magazine, reached about 2.2 million young people, supported 29,000 educators and developed 134 mental health resources. She invested about $100 million in total to expand youth mental health services and education across the globe.
