Chief Executive
Herbalife Ltd.
Stephan Gratziani, an independent distributor for the downtown-based nutrition supplement giant Herbalife for 32 years, became chief executive exactly one year ago, succeeding longtime chief executive Michael Johnson, who is now the company’s executive chairman. Last year, Herbalife exceeded $5 billion in revenue; the company has 8,500 employees and distributors across more than 90 countries. Since taking the helm, Gratziani has broadened the company’s focus to include personalized nutrition programs. In March, Herbalife acquired the assets of London-based personalized supplements company Bioniq for $55 million. In November, Herbalife opened a $7 million research and development center on its Torrance campus, dedicated to sensory science and quality control to help develop new nutrition products.
