Robert Bradway has led Amgen, the biotech giant based in Thousand Oaks, as chair and chief executive since 2012 and 2013, respectively, growing the company into one of the largest public companies in the Los Angeles area and a key player in its life sciences economy. In 2025, Amgen experienced double-digit growth, with full-year revenues increasing 10% to $36.8 billion. Last year, Amgen announced a $600 million science and innovation center at its Thousand Oaks headquarters to speed up next-generation therapeutics, along with a $650 million expansion of its U.S. manufacturing network – creating hundreds of jobs and furthering multibillion-dollar investments in Ohio and North Carolina.
