Pedro Pizarro is the president and chief executive of Edison International, the parent company of Southern California Edison, one of the largest electric utilities in the country. He joined Edison, based in Rosemead, in 1999 and also serves on its board of directors. Before this, Pizarro was a senior engagement manager at McKinsey & Co. in Los Angeles. With Southern California Edison’s equipment deemed the likely trigger of the Eaton Canyon Fire of January 2025 that destroyed more than 9,400 structures, Pizarro has led the company’s response, including the establishment of a wildfire victim compensation fund.
