Name some of the most prolific companies in the Los Angeles area – such as ServiceTitan Inc. or Honey Science Corp. – and Mucker Capital is involved. The Venice-based venture capital firm, which Hsu co-founded in 2011 with Erik Rannala, has more than 80 companies in its portfolio and has been foundational in cultivating companies with large exits. Honey Science Corp. was acquired by PayPal Holdings Inc. in 2020 for about $4 billion. ServiceTitan debuted on the Nasdaq Global Select Market in December at a $9 billion valuation. Hsu is deeply entrenched in the startup ecosystem partly because he was once part of it – he built a bid management service for those in the construction business called BuildPoint in 1996. The company raised $50 million before it was acquired.
