Arabshahi is a founding partner Fika Ventures, a Culver City-based venture firm focused on early stage investments in the enterprise space, which was founded back in 2017 when business-to-business venture funding was largely relegated to venture titans in Silicon Valley. Arabshahi has been an investor for more than a decade, joining Karlin Ventures when he was just 21 years old and working at a spate of tech companies. Fika’s portfolio includes more than 80 companies, including one of the newest minted unicorns in Los Angeles, BuildOps. The son of Iranian immigrants, Arabshahi grew up destined to become a surgeon, and instead found his first job in entrepreneurship and technology by cold emailing 150 people, which landed him in front of Techstars and Built in L.A.
