Israel is the chief executive and co-founder of Metropolis Technologies, an AI company that began in a garage in 2017 and raised nearly $2 billion in funding in the years since. The company uses computer vision to power payments, making them check out free. The company started in parking and now has more than 4,600 locations globally. Metropolis acquired the massive parking company SP Plus Corp. in a $1.8 billion deal in 2024, which allowed Metropolis to expand its services to more locations. It now serves more than 50 million customers. It also acquired Premier Parking in 2022 for an undisclosed amount.
