Walter has owned the Los Angeles Dodgers since 2012, when it was purchased for a then-record of $2.15 billion. Today, the team is worth an estimated $4.8 billion. Walter is also the chief executive of financial firm Guggenheim Partners, which has more than $300 billion in assets under management. Walter is also a co-owner of the Premier League club Chelsea F.C., auto racing group Andretti Global and the Los Angeles Sparks. He also leads the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation. In January, he joined forces with Earvin “Magic” Johnson and Casey Wasserman to create LA Rises, a private-sector recovery initiative. Walter and the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation committed an initial $100 million to the group.
