Cohen became USC’s director of athletics in 2023, making her the first woman to lead the school’s athletic department. She holds the Charles Griffin Cale Director of Athletics’ Chair. Cohen has more than three decades of intercollegiate athletics experience. Before joining USC, she served as the athletic director at Washington since 2016. While she was there, the school won 19 Pac-12 titles. She hired head football coach Kalen DeBoer and negotiated Washington’s 10-year, $190 million apparel contract with Adidas in 2019. She is also a member of the College Football Playoff Committee and the National Coalition of Minority Football Coaches. Cohen is a native of Arcadia and received her bachelor’s degree from San Diego State.
