Lundquist became the president and chief executive of Continental Development Corp., an El Segundo-based commercial real estate development firm, in 1988. In the mid-1990s, Lundquist purchased the company, which has now developed more than 5 million square feet of commercial properties. Today, he serves as chief executive of CDC, having promoted two long-term executives to co-presidents in 2024. One of the firm’s most notable projects is Continental Park in El Segundo, which, according to the company, is considered to be the largest mixed-use office park in Los Angeles County, home to tenants such as Mattel Inc. This year, Continental Development and CinemaWest opened CinemaWest Beach Cities on the park grounds.
