Tourtellotte is the founder and chief executive of LaTerra Development, a Marina del Rey-based real estate management and development company, which specializes in two distinct verticals: multifamily and self-storage. Combined, the company boasts a portfolio valued at more than $3 billion, made up of over 3,000 multifamily units and over 1 million square feet of self-storage properties across the Western U.S. In the fourth quarter of last year, LaTerra closed four construction loans and broke ground on four self-storage projects, including a 50,000-square-foot facility in Mar Vista, a 65,000-square-foot facility in Van Nuys, an 80,000-square-foot facility adjacent to Hollywood Burbank Airport and a 160,000-square-foot facility in Texas.
