Saenger is the president and chief executive of The Ratkovich Co., a downtown-based real estate development company specializing in urban landfill and historic rehabilitation properties. Saenger took over as leader from Wayne Ratkovich, the company’s founder, in 2021 after 10 years with the company, first as the vice president of acquisitions and general counsel. He played a leading role in TRC’s acquisition of The Bloc, a 1.8 million-square-foot mixed-use property downtown and represented TRC during its successful negotiation of a 66-year ground lease for the development of West Harbor, a $150 million transformation project in San Pedro. Saenger is a member of the board of directors of the Los Angeles County Business Federation.
