Sarandos was named co-CEO of Netflix in July 2020. He has been responsible for all content operations since 2000 and led the company’s transition into original content production that began in 2013 with the launch of the series “House of Cards,” “Arrested Development” and “Orange Is the New Black” among numerous others. Ted was named one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People of this year and in 2013 and received the Producers Guild of America Milestone Award in 2019. He serves on the Board of Trustees for the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, as a trustee of the American Film Institute and on the boards of Spotify and Exploring the Arts, an Astoria, New York nonprofit supporting arts education in New York and Los Angeles schools.
