Lovett rose through the ranks at CAA, beginning his career in the agency’s mailroom, becoming its president from 1995-2021. Lovett cuts a wider path in Hollywood after the $750 million acquisition of ICM three years ago. His entertainment and sports agency giant hired its first chief metaverse officer in 2023. Lovett, who is also active in philanthropy, created the CAA Foundation in 1996 with a focus on education and civic engagement, at local and national levels. He taught a weekly class at Venice High School, one of CAA’s partner schools. Recently added clients include the Obama family’s Higher Ground Productions, the Los Angeles Clippers and The Washington Post. The agency advises more than 3,000 of the world’s top athletes.
