Bad Robot Productions
Abrams’ content-creation company, Bad Robot Productions, extended its deal with Warner Bros. last year, with whom it will co-produce a slate of films, starting with “Flowervale Street,” a sci-fi movie set to be released next year. Founded in 1999, Bad Robot is based in Santa Monica. Abrams launched a live-theater division in March 2023, reaching for the Great White Way via a three-year partnership with Broadway’s powerful Ambassador Theatre Group. Bad Robot has on-screen credits for “Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker,” and his Max TV series “Duster,” which began in May. Abrams serves on the board of the Motion Picture and Television Fund, an organization that provides health care services to those in the industry.
