Liner emerged from “retirement” last year, adding his name to what is now Liner, Freedman, Taitelman + Cooley in Century City and taking on managing partner duties. Though he’d retired from DLA Piper in 2022, Liner had in the interim focused on housing development, including a mixed-use project in Sacramento. At the entertainment law firm, he enhances its specialty of reputational defense by also working with clients to build their media careers and was recently named to Lawdragon’s Hall of Fame. Liner and wife Stephanie in December purchased a Bel-Air estate once owned by record executive Jerry Moss for about $29 million.
