Geffner is among the attorneys leading the charge in Los Angeles’ sports deals and transactions in the years leading up to the World Cup, Super Bowl and 2028 Olympics Games. He represents multiple professional sports teams in matters pertaining to financing deals, sponsorships, licensing, acquisitions and private equity investment, among other areas. Geffner was lead counsel for Angel City FC in the 2024 deal that saw power couple Willow Bay and Bob Iger take out a controlling stake in the professional soccer club. He also continues to represent Monarch Collective, a locally based private equity firm that focuses on investments in women’s professional sports. Geffner has been lead counsel for Beverly Hills-based Live Nation in a variety of venue acquisitions.
