Brian has spent more than 25 years defining his skills as a trial lawyer, securing defense victories for companies such as Boeing, Transocean, Fortress Investment Group and Pacific Gas & Electric. He is chair of Munger, Tolles & Olson, among the largest law firm operations in Los Angeles County and ranked No. 1 last year on American Lawyer’s A List. The downtown-based firm in 2024 also posted its most financially successful year to date. Brian led a Munger Tolles & Olson team that represented Hawaiian Electric Industries and Hawaiian Electric Co. and brokered a settlement in excess of $4 billion for the utility companies to cover losses in the 2023 Maui Wildfires. He represents Los Angeles and LADWP in litigation related to the Palisades Fire.
