Weingarten started Willkie Farr & Gallagher’s Los Angeles operation from scratch and now employs more than 100 attorneys there. He chairs the firm’s entertainment litigation group and landed numerous victories in that space this past year. Weingarten represented 5&2 Studios in its successful quest to regain control of its series “The Chosen” from Angel Studios, Jamie Spears in his settlement with daughter Britney Spears that ended his conservatorship over her and currently represents Tempo Music in a copyright infringement suit against Miley Cyrus claiming her 2023 hit song “Flowers” infringes on lyrics from the 2013 Bruno Mars single “When I Was Your Man.”
