Pharmavite
Boutelle assumed the role of Pharmavite’s chief executive in 2017. Pharmavite is a vitamin and nutrition product manufacturing company best known for its lines of NatureMade vitamins and MegaFoods nutrition products. The company, which employs about 1,750 people, became a subsidiary of Tokyo-based pharmaceutical and nutraceutical firm Otsuka Holding Co. in 1989. Late in 2023, Pharmavite acquired New York women’s health products firm Bonafide Health for $425 million. Late last year, Pharmavite opened a new plant in Columbus, Ohio, to make gummy versions of its vitamins, minerals and supplements. Prior to joining Pharmavite, Boutelle was chief executive of Beech-Nut Nutrition, where he led the reinvention of their baby food business.
