Astrana Health
Sim became sole chief executive of Alhambra-based physician practice-management platform company Astrana Health (formerly Apollo Medical Holdings) last year after serving as co-chief executive for two years. Astrana Health has grown into a nationwide physician practice management company that partners with over 10,000 affiliated providers and operates 61 outpatient locations. In November, Astrana made one of its biggest moves to date, agreeing to purchase the majority of Palms-based Prospect Medical Holdings’ managed care platform from Birmingham, Alabama-based Medical Properties Trust for about $745 million. Prior to joining Astrana, Sim co-founded medical device startup company Theratech.
