KTGY
Esser joined KTGY as controller in 1991, shortly after the company was founded, and became chief executive in 2006. KTGY has seven offices around the nation with a combined staff of more than 400. Locally, the firm has specialized in designing affordable housing projects around downtown Los Angeles. Last year, the firm continued its expansion, acquiring Dallas-based GDA Architects. Among KTGY’s current local projects: 1185 Sunset, a 327-unit mixed-use development in Echo Park, and phase three of the Jordan Downs redevelopment plan in Watts. KTGY has also worked with John A. Martin & Associates to come up with an adaptive reuse concept tower for the downtown Los Angeles market that combines office and residential space.
