Chair, Chief Executive
C.W. Driver Cos.
Roberts’ first job as a teenager in 1970 was alongside his father, a superintendent at C.W. Driver. Roberts obtained an ownership stake in the 106-year-old company in 1981 and assumed full ownership in 1987, the same year he became chief executive. He and C.W. Driver have since plunged into construction of education facilities, which is now its primary business line. In the last five years, the company has completed 57 school projects, including a visual arts campus for California State University Fullerton, an athletic facility for Pomona College and a performing arts complex at Woodbridge High School. Projects in the works include two new student housing buildings for California State University Northridge and a $100 million high school in Malibu.
