As president and chief executive of one of the largest investment management firms in the world, Gitlin oversees the $2.9 trillion firm, executing its long-term strategy. Headquartered in downtown, Capital Group recently launched eight new exchange-traded fund model portfolios. The firm has 22 ETFs for a total of $56 billion in assets under management for these portfolios. Before rising to this role, Gitlin spent nine years as Capital Group’s head of fixed income and also oversaw global trading and client groups in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. He had a number of roles prior to joining Capital Group including head of fixed income and global head of trading at T. Rowe Price.
