Askari is managing partner at K1 Investment Management, a Manhattan Beach-based venture capital and private equity firm which focuses on high-growth enterprise software companies on a global scale. Since its founding in 2011, the company has done over 250 deals and raised $6.2 billion in debt financing. Notable former portfolio companies include GoCanvas, Axcient and MarketingPro. Before joining K1, Askari was vice president of Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors and also worked as an analyst at Pathway Capital Management. He previously served on the board of governors at USC and was an advisory council member for Invisible Children Inc., an organization that works to end violent conflict in central Africa.
