Hankey Group
Hankey kicked off his empire when he opened Westlake Financial after working in subprime auto lending at his family’s Midway Ford Dealership. The Mid-Wilshire-based auto lending business works with over 30,000 car dealerships. His success led him to found the Hankey Group, a collection of companies specializing in tech, real estate, insurance and auto financing. Earlier this year, Hankey Group, which is headquartered in Hancock Park, launched a Bitcoin Crypto Lending Program allowing real estate and highline vehicle buyers to use Bitcoin as collateral. Hankey’s entities include The North Hollywood Toyota dealership, data firm Nowcom and Knight Insurance Group.
