Tetra Tech Inc. on Tuesday said it has acquired engineering firm Metalica Consultores of Santiago, Chile for an undisclosed amount.
Metalica has about 60 employees and provides mine planning, feasibility studies, operations support and industrial process engineering throughout Latin America. The company will become part of Tetra Tech’s engineering and consulting business segment. Term of the deal were not disclosed
“With Metalica’s strong front-end service offerings, we believe that this acquisition will serve as a gateway to new Latin American markets.” Chief Executive Dan Batrack said in a statement.
Shares closed down 35 cents, or 1.8 percent, to $19.57 on the Nasdaq.
