Long Beach Airport traffic dropped 12% year-over-year in May to 305,300 passengers.
JetBlue Airways represented 54% of total traffic, carrying 165,800 passengers, down 38% from the year prior. Southwest more than doubled its count to 98,400 passengers, making up 32% of the total.
Hawaiian Airlines carried about 11,000 passengers and the facility’s two other airlines, American and Delta, carried about 30,000 combined.
Charter flying from Long Beach rose 49% to 104 passengers last month.
Cargo carried by FedEx and UPS rose 2.8% in the month to 1,865 tons.
