CAAP lays out strategies that seek to address the challenge of reducing harmful emissions from port-related sources including ships, trucks, cargo handling equipment, locomotives and harbor craft. The third rollout of the program mandates that the local twin ports’ entire trucking fleet be zero-emission by 2035.
As part of this partnership, Anaheim-based Clean Energy will provide specialized clean fuel programs as well as resources in the form of workshops on programs for clean technology funding, the company said.
“We will also help with the grant writing needs for trucking companies and individual owner-operators looking to upgrade their equipment,” said Gary Foster, spokesman for the company.
