RadNet Inc. on Tuesday said it completed acquisition of a New York company called Imaging On Call LLC, which provides remote interpretation of diagnostic imaging exams for hospitals, doctors and other health care providers.
The Los Angeles-based operator of 198 medical diagnostic imaging centers said it is paying $5.5 million for Imaging on Call, a so-called teleradiology company based in Poughkeepsie. RadNet will pay an additional $2.5 million if Imaging on Call reaches certain performance milestones next year.
RadNet said the deal expected to add $10 million in revenue on an annual basis.
“Imaging On Call represents a new business line for RadNet, and I look forward to teleradiology becoming part of our portfolio of solutions supporting our strategies related to partnering with hospitals and accountable care organizations,” said Chief Executive Howard Berger in a statement.
