Adventist Health and RadNet Inc. on Tuesday announced a joint venture to create outpatient imaging centers in Simi Valley, the companies said in a statement.

West L.A.-based diagnostic imaging company RadNet will contribute two of its imaging centers, Alamo Advanced Imaging and Simi Valley Advanced Imaging.

The joint venture's third facility will be Adventist Health's Aspen Imaging Center. All locations will offer MRI, CT, PET/CT, ultrasound and X-ray imaging services.

The venture will begin operations at the facilities no later than January, the companies said.

Adventist Health is headquartered near Sacramento.

According to terms of the partnership, RadNet will also take over operation management of Adventist Health’s Nancy Reagan Breast Center in Simi Valley.

“Both companies have identified an exciting opportunity in the Simi Valley marketplace,” RadNet Chief Executive Dr. Howard Berger said. “Adventist Health’s commitment includes the ownership of the leading hospital, an urgent care center, a clinical laboratory, home care services and various family and specialty physician practices.”

“Adventist Health is pleased to partner with RadNet, the nation’s leading outpatient radiology provider,” Jennifer Swenson, president of Adventist Health Simi Valley, said in a statement. “Our joint venture will advance our imaging capabilities in the region and will provide our medical community with an integrated radiology network offering the full scope of imaging services.”
