Fitness shoe company K-Swiss Inc. on Wednesday announced a multi-year agreement to serve as the exclusive footwear and apparel provider for Life Time Fitness Inc.’s running programs and endurance events.
Chanhassen, Minn.-based Life Time is a public company that operates upscale professional fitness and family recreation centers. It operates 90 centers in 20 states, including Nevada and Arizona but not California.
The deal will increase Westlake Village-based K-Swiss’ profile at the company’s centers and endurance events, including the Life Time Triathlon Series, SheROX Women’s Triathlon Series, and Life Time Triathlon Multi-Sport Expo events.
“Life Time’s focus on training, running and triathlon aligns perfectly with the performance categories that K-Swiss is focused on,” Erik Vervloet, K-Swiss vice president of sports marketing, said in a statement.
K-Swiss shares were up 2 cents, or less than 1 percent, to $10.30 in midday trading on the Nasdaq. Life Time shares were up 54 cents, or 1.5 percent, to $36.55 on the Nasdaq.
