Virtual Piggy Inc. on Wednesday announced a deal with Discover Network enabling transactions at its teen-friendly Oink payment system to take place over the the credit card company’s network.

The El Segundo start-up’s Oink system offers teens a more secure and credit card-free payment system to purchase items from e-commerce sites.

“Discover and Oink share common goals centered around financial transparency and youth financial literacy,” Jo Webber, the company’s chief executive, said in a statement. “This shared vision, coupled with the wide acceptance of the Discover network, makes this arrangement perfect for Discover and Oink.”
