The S&P 500 fell 16 points to 2,109.

The Nasdaq fell 38 points to 5,122.

The LABJ Stock Index fell two points to 235.

Gainers and Losers

Wednesday’s biggest local gainer was Internet advertising company ReachLocal Inc. Shares rose 7 percent on the day, closing at $3.20.

The day’s biggest loser was Global Eagle Entertainment Inc. Shares of the Marina del Rey company, which provides content and Wi-Fi service to airlines, fell 6 percent on the day, closing at $13.41.
