Monday’s biggest local gainer was Westwood real estate firm InterGroup Corp. Shares rose 8 percent on the day, closing at $22.61.

Monday’s biggest loser was Health Net Inc. Shares of the Woodland Hills insurer fell 6 percent on the day, closing at $67.49 after it was announced last week that the company would be acquired by Centene Corp. in a cash and stock deal valued at $6.8 billion.
