Santa Monica’s A-Mark Precious Metals Inc. was Monday’s biggest local gainer among stocks trading above $1. Shares rose 5 percent to close at $18.47.

Monday’s biggest loser, among stocks trading above $1, was West L.A. patent monetization firm Marathon Patent Group Inc. Shares fell 13 percent to close at $1.43.
