At the close of the markets Wednesday, the Dow Jones industrial average was up 98 points to 16,907.
The Nasdaq rose 26 points to 4,363.
The S&P 500 ticked up 15 points to 1,957.
The LABJ Stock Index rose 2 points to 196.
