PE Roundup: Private Equity Deals Announced This Week

Marlin Equity Partners of Hermosa Beach announced Monday that it has acquired Pendum, an Elmhurst, Ill., ATM service provider. Pendum will be combined with another Marlin portfolio company, payments processing technology firm Burroughs Inc. of Plymouth, Mich. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Century City’s OpenGate Capital announced Monday that it has completed the acquisition of Packaging Papeterie de Nantes SAS, a paper mill in Nantes, France from DS Smith, a London packaging company. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Century City’s Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors announced Tuesday that it has provided a credit facility to Cedar Park, Texas, transmission accessories company Fallbrook Technologies Inc. The new facility replaces Fallbrook’s old $25 million arrangement. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Ares Management in Century City announced Tuesday that it has entered into an agreement to acquire a significant stake in Huntersville, N.C., tire seller American Tire Distributors Inc. The deal will give Ares an equal stake to American Tire’s other private equity owner, TPG of Fort Worth, Texas. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Construction equipment rental company BlueLine Rental in Shippensburg, Pa., a portfolio company of Beverly Hills firm Platinum Equity, announced Tuesday that it has agreed to acquire Trico Equipment Inc. in Freehold, N.J. , which specializes in aerial lift equipment rentals for construction sites. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Chicago wireless services provider Glotel Inc., a portfolio company of Beverly Hills firm Gores Group, announced Friday that it has agreed to acquire Arete Development Inc., a wireless infrastructure company in Fairfield, N.J. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
