Brentwood Associates, a Los Angeles private equity firm, said Tuesday it had acquired Marshall Retail Group, a Las Vegas owner and operator of stores in casinos and airports.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“Marshall Retail Group has a portfolio of proven, highly differentiated concepts and a fantastic management team,” said Rahul Aggarwal, a Brentwood managing director. “We’re excited to grow the business and continue to open new locations.”
Aggarwal said Brentwood would set up a board of directors and help to grow the company in an advisory capacity. Marshall is led by Chief Executive Michael C. Wilkins, who will continue in that role. The company will operate as a separate entity and remain based in Las Vegas.
Founded in 1955, Marshall operates 155 locations across 10 states and Washington, D.C., The company’s retail concepts fall into three categories: logo and sundry stores; fashion apparel, footwear and accessories stores; and third-party licensed brands.
