The Los Angeles Business Journal’s index of largest local public companies closed up for the week.
The weighted LABJ Stock Index rose 0.83 percent to 181.11 for the trading week ended Feb. 7. Decliners outpaced gainers 94 to 56, with 11 companies unchanged.
Among the biggest decliners was Green Dot Corp. falling 20 percent to $21.35. Shares of the Pasadena prepaid debit card company continued to slide following a disappointing fourth quarter report a week earlier.
Mattel Inc. fell 14 percent to $36.94. The El Segundo toy company was hurt by an analyst’s downgrade following its fourth quarter report.
One of the biggest gainers was RealD Inc., jumping 17 percent to $10.55. The Beverly Hills 3-D technology company reported a fiscal third quarter that topped Wall Street estimates.
Activision Blizzard Inc. rose 14 percent to $19.64. The Santa Monica video game company reported better-than-expected net income for the fourth quarter.
