Chong Guk Kum, former chief executive of Westlake Village’s First California Financial Group Inc., has been named chief executive of Koreatown’s Hanmi Financial Corp.

Kum, 58, led First California Financial, parent of First California Bank, from 2007 until it was acquired last month by Century City’s PacWest Bancorp.

Kum replaces Jay S. Yoo, 66, who is retiring after leading Hanmi since 2008. Yoo and Hanmi had a five-year contract set to expire at the end of this month.
