Tetra Tech Acquires Texas Software Firm

Pasadena-based consulting and technical services company Tetra Tech Inc. announced that it has acquired Integration Group of Americas, a Texas company specializing in technology systems integration for industrial facilities.

Financial terms of Tetra Tech’s purchase of Spring, Texas-based Integration Group of Americas were not disclosed.

Integration Group of Americas was founded in 2017 as a technology systems integration and engineering company and has grown to nearly 100 employees. It has clients in the energy, water and sustainable infrastructure sectors.

Tetra Tech, which was founded in Pasadena in 1966 as a water-management company, has since diversified into environmental remediation, engineering services and information technology consulting. It has grown through organic growth and dozens of strategic acquisitions and now employs about 21,000 people in 450 offices worldwide. Last year it posted revenue of $3.2 billion.

In the July 7 deal announcement, Tetra Tech said Integration Group of Americas, also known as TIGA, will be folded into its digital water practice within its government services group.

“The addition of TIGA enables us to further expand our high-end digital consulting and platform solutions across water, environmental, and energy sectors,” Dan Batrack, Tetra Tech’s chief executive, said in the announcement.

For Integration Group of Americas, the deal gives access to Tetra Tech’s much larger client pool.

“By joining Tetra Tech, we will provide industry-leading control system integration and digital transformation services to an expanded client base while simultaneously providing new opportunities for our employees,” John Miller, Integration Group of Americas chief executive, said in the announcement.

“Solving complex challenges related to water, energy, and sustainable infrastructure by leveraging data analytics is a critical need for our clients,” he added.
