The Pepperdine Graziadio School of Business and Management’s full and part-time MBA programs made major jumps in U.S. News & World Report’s 2018 ranking of the nation’s top business schools.
The Malibu-based school’s full-time program climbed 18 positions from last year’s ranking to No. 65. The part-time program jumped 19 positions to No. 29, placing it as the seventh-best business program in California and the third-best in Los Angeles County.
California-based MBA programs continue to have strong showings in the report. The latest rankings show Bay Area programs, such as those at Stanford and University of California, Berkeley, ranked in the top 10. UCLA and USC rank 15th and 24th, respectively.
The growth at Pepperdine comes under the guidance of Deryck van Rensburg, the new dean of the business school. In a statement released by the university, van Rensburg credited Pepperdine’s growth to the school’s ongoing commitment to quality educational experiences.
With an annual enrollment of 2,000 students, the university said in a statement that it expects to improve in upcoming years through strategic partnerships and innovative programming, such as the fall 2018 launch of its business incubator.
