National Technical Systems on Wednesday said that its Test Systems Engineering division was selected by Boeing Co. to provide automated test equipment for the Chicago aerospace giant’s Boeing 777 aircraft.
The Calabasas engineering services company said it will perform the automated tests through next January on the 777’s systems, avionics and engines.
“As we expand our engineering services offerings, the opportunities in this market will increase and we will be poised to provide an even broader range of product engineering and testing services to our customers – a one-stop shop model,” Chief Executive William McGinnis said in a statement
Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Shares were up 1 cent, or less than a percent, to $7.16 in midday trading on the Nasdaq.
